Interested in getting your site iPad compatible? Consider the following points:-

  • Optimize your mobile website to be compatible with the iPad:

A website designed particularly for a mobile is unable to provide the same user experience. This is due to the fact that the iPad’s screen is much larger in size as compared to that of a mobile.

  • Page Layout and Formatting:

As we know that the iPad has the characteristic of landscape and portrait mode, do not use fixed elements on a web page as in the case of a website built for desktop computers. You cannot re-size your browser window in the iPad.

  • Navigation of web pages on the iPad:

Page navigation is an important aspect to be kept in mind while optimizing your website for the iPad. This is because of the finger touch feature of the iPad wherein for a simple copy-paste function; you just need to hold your finger and drag in the downward direction of the screen.

  • iPads do not support Flash:

To make your site compatible with the iPad, avoid using Flash as it does not support Flash instead use HTML5 and CSS3. This implies that either you will have to alter the Flash based elements into HTML5 or delete such elements manually.
